Participatory networking event within the framework of the emerging platform European Network for the Nonviolence and Dialogue (ENND). Cross-boundary exchange of good practices regarding sensitising the public towards LGBT issues.

Goals of the workshop:

1) exchange of tangible and reproducible strategies that proved to be working in dialogue enablement between various (sexual) minorities and general public; and in communication of sometimes sensitive issues

2) create cross-boundary exchange of good practices

3) get participants involved in the forming of the ENND platform

Most of the participants were experienced with some kind of public campaigns, PR and/or advocacy activities for LGBT topics and they concluded that they can benefit greatly from networking. Thanks to their experiences with the communication strategies towards the “majority” audience the discussion about what have worked well and what have worked less was full of ideas and suggestions. You can find participants' recipes of what works, what should be avoided and examples of activities in the full report.

Value based conflicts related to LGBT+ were discussed and participants realised that many of the conflicts have a quite similar basis. Then, they brainstormed ideas of activities they want to be involved and agreed on further actions and development of the ENND platform.
